Field tests of insecticides are not easy because the many variables present in lab conditions multiply owing to uncontrollable factors. Wide experience is needed not to waste time and money and to do as much as possible to forestall the problems which always try to make your field test fail. Very sound knowledge of the pest control world is needed in order to find the infested places to conduct the test in, with the permission of owners (of homes, restaurants, farms, hotels) or of officials and managers (in local authorities, hospitals, parks, waste processing plants and so on)
